The extremist Minister of National Security in the occupying government, Itamar Ben Gvir, vowed that he would work to abolish the procedure that stipulates opening an investigation into "any incident that ends with gunfire on an armed individual."
This inflammatory statement came during a visit by Ben Gvir to the military base where the unit of soldiers that fired upon two Palestinian youths in the city of Jenin on Thursday is stationed.
Ben Gvir described the procedure as "distorted," demanding the "end of this distorted procedure whereby when our fighter shoots at a saboteur, he is taken directly for interrogation."
He came to embrace the heroic fighters here.
