The "Israeli" Knesset approves cutting off water and electricity to UNRWA to liquidate the refugee issue.

The Israeli Knesset's General Assembly approved, on Wednesday, in the first reading, the government bill to amend the law halting the activities of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). The law received the support of 28 Knesset members against the opposition of 8 members, indicating the extremist government's determination to pass it quickly.

This amendment comes as part of the ongoing and systematic efforts of the occupation to undermine the work of UNRWA, efforts that are viewed by Palestinians and the United Nations as an attempt to completely eliminate the Palestinian refugee issue.

The bill includes extreme provisions aimed at strangling the agency and paralyzing its operations in the occupied territories. The amendment clearly states that "water and electricity providers will not supply any property where UNRWA is the registered consumer."
