Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aty confirmed on Monday his country's support for Gulf security and called for an immediate halt to Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip.
This came during two meetings that Abdel Aty held in New York with his Kuwaiti counterpart Abdullah Al-Yahya and the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasem Al-Budaiwi, on the eve of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry stated in a statement that Abdel Aty and Al-Yahya discussed "ways to enhance bilateral relations and the latest developments on the regional and international fronts."
A steadfast commitment to Gulf security as an integral part of Egypt's national security.
