The occupation carries out massive demolition operations in the city of Gaza.

The Israeli occupation army continued today, Saturday, to demolish residential buildings in the city of Gaza as part of its plan to displace residents and occupy the city, while medical sources documented the martyrdom and injury of Palestinians in new airstrikes.

A correspondent reported that the Israeli army is currently carrying out massive demolition operations on residential buildings in the northern part of the city of Gaza, following the destruction of the Mushtaha Tower in the western part of the city yesterday, Friday.

Meanwhile, the Al-Shifa Medical Complex reported the martyrdom of 5 people, including a girl, while others were injured in an Israeli bombardment on a house in the Al-Shati refugee camp in the western part of the city of Gaza.

Medical sources had documented the martyrdom of 51 Palestinians due to the fire of the occupation army in several areas of the Gaza Strip since dawn on Friday, including 36 in the city of Gaza.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced on Friday the escalation of the military operation in the Gaza Strip, stating, "Now the gates of hell are opening," which the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) confirmed as an acknowledgment of genocide crimes.

For several weeks, Israel has been destroying entire residential blocks in the city of Gaza and in Jabalia in the northern part of the strip as part of its plan to invade and occupy the city in an operation it named "Gideon's Chariots 2."

Many countries and human rights and humanitarian organizations condemned the operations of the Israeli army, warning of a new bloody escalation and widespread displacement of the residents of the city of Gaza, whose population is nearly one million.

The United Nations stated that thousands of Palestinians have been displaced towards the Gaza coast as killings and famine escalate.

Since October 2023, Israel - with American support - has been waging a genocidal war against the residents of the Gaza Strip, which includes killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring international calls to stop the war and orders from the International Court of Justice in this regard.

The genocide has resulted in more than 64,000 martyrs and 162,000 injured, with 376 Palestinians, including 134 children, dying due to starvation, according to the latest statistics from the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip.
