Sources: Egyptian officials anticipate a breakthrough in Gaza negotiations next week.. and Hamas shows flexibility.

A delegation from Hamas concluded its visit to Cairo after a series of intensive meetings with Egyptian officials, where these meetings were dedicated to discussing the humanitarian aid file in light of the worsening famine in the besieged Gaza Strip. Egyptian officials spoke about the possibility of a breakthrough in negotiations during the coming week, raising hopes for an improvement in the humanitarian situation.

Sources confirmed that the Egyptian side requested to include the issue of aid on the agenda, where a direct meeting was held with the head of the Egyptian General Intelligence Service, Hassan Mohamed Rashad. However, no decisive results were reached regarding a ceasefire, but political channels remain open with Qatar's participation to push the Israeli occupation towards resuming negotiations.

An Egyptian military official considered that the flexibility shown by Hamas opens the door to the possibility of reaching an agreement. However, the position of the Israeli occupation remains the main obstacle, as the continued preparation for fire does not necessarily indicate an intention to occupy the city of Gaza, but rather an attempt to increase pressure on the movement.

Hamas confirmed during the meetings its readiness to return to the negotiating table in parallel with the introduction of aid, emphasizing its preparedness to enter into a comprehensive deal that ends the war. However, Tel Aviv insists on resuming negotiations from the point where talks were halted, and continues its military operations, hinting at an invasion of the city of Gaza.

A source in Hamas stressed that the movement will not accept negotiations as a cover for the continuation of crimes, denying the existence of any new official offers so far. In the same context, the Israeli occupation insists on rejecting any partial prisoner exchange deal, as the head of the Mossad, David Barnea, informed during a visit to Doha that the occupation is committed to reaching a comprehensive deal.

Hebrew newspapers also reported that the Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs, Ron Dermer, stated that Tel Aviv will only consider a deal that resolves all outstanding issues. Additionally, Channel 12 reported that communications are taking place between Tel Aviv and Washington to arrange a potential visit by U.S. President Donald Trump next month, but the timing of the visit remains linked to the course of battles and developments in the negotiation process.
