Red Crescent crews deal with eight cases of suffocation after settlers set fire to a house in Jericho.

The Palestinian Red Crescent reported Wednesday evening that its medical teams treated eight people suffering from smoke inhalation after settlers set fire to a home in the Abu Fazaa Bedouin community east of Ramallah.

The Red Crescent noted that the injured received first aid in the field, with no serious cases reported so far. This comes at a time when the West Bank is witnessing a continued escalation in settler attacks under the protection of the Israeli occupation army.

For his part, Palestinian Vice President Hussein al-Sheikh held the Israeli occupation government responsible for what he described as "settler violence and arrogance," asserting that these practices are carried out under the direct auspices of the occupation army, describing them as "a political decision implemented by the Israeli government through the hands of the settlers."

In the same context, the Israeli occupation army said in a brief statement that it "worked to break up a clash between settlers and Palestinians in the village of Kafr Malik."
