Photojournalist Ahmed Qaljah died Friday morning from wounds he sustained in a previous Israeli airstrike.
Yesterday, Israeli warplanes bombed a journalists' tent in the Baptist Hospital in Gaza, killing three journalists: Ismail Badah, Suleiman Hajjaj, and Samir Al-Rifai. Four others were injured, with injuries ranging from critical to moderate: Ahmed Qaljah, Imad Daloul, Imam Badr, and Mahmoud Al-Ghazi.
With Qaljah's martyrdom, the death toll among journalists since the start of the aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, has risen to 226 journalists and media workers, including 30 female journalists to date, including one colleague in the West Bank governorates, Ibrahim Mahameed, who was martyred in February 2024.
