Today, Wednesday, the Israeli occupation aircraft carried out dozens of raids targeting the southern suburb of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, and cities and towns in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Lebanon resulted in a large number of dead and wounded and extensive destruction of buildings, facilities and infrastructure.
The Lebanese government's Disaster Management Unit said in its daily report that during the last two days, about 134 Israeli airstrikes and shelling were recorded on different areas of Lebanon, most of which were concentrated in the south and the suburbs of Beirut.
It added, "The number of martyrs and wounded during the past 24 hours reached 55 martyrs and 156 wounded, bringing the total number since October 8 to 9,281 martyrs and 9,290 wounded."
The unit indicated that "the total number of displaced persons has risen to 1.2 million people, including 160,200 registered in shelters."
