The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) warned on Saturday of the psychological damage to Gaza's children as a result of the ongoing Israeli attack on the besieged Strip, including "devastating levels" of stress.
UNRWA said in a statement on its account on the “X” platform, “Children in Gaza are suffering from devastating levels of stress.”
It added, "The UNRWA team works with children and adolescents to mitigate the impact of the horrors of war."
It continued: "Our counselors provide the children of Gaza with hope and comfort, and we must protect their present and future."
UNRWA reiterated the necessity of an "immediate ceasefire in Gaza."
