Netanyahu claims that there is no humanitarian disaster in Rafah
Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed on Wednesday that there is no humanitarian disaster in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, and that it will never happen.
This came in a televised speech that Netanyahu posted on his social media accounts, in which he said: “Our forces are fighting throughout the Gaza Strip; in Jabalia (north of the Strip), Zaytoun (a neighborhood south of Gaza City), and Rafah (south of the Strip).”
He claimed that the army is carrying out what he described as "evacuating the civilian population while fulfilling our commitment to their humanitarian needs," which is denied by international institutions that repeatedly confirm that Palestinians are subjected to forced displacement.
