Egypt sends a new convoy of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip

Today (Tuesday), the Egyptian authorities sent a new convoy of aid to the Gaza Strip, which has been suffering from an Israeli siege since October 7, according to a security source told Xinhua News Agency.

The source explained that Egypt sent the fourth batch of humanitarian aid to the Israeli Nitzana crossing to be examined and inspected by the Israeli authorities before it passed to the Gaza Strip through the Palestinian side of the Rafah land crossing.

He pointed out that the fourth convoy includes 20 trucks that include medicines, medical supplies, baby formula, and mineral water.

During the past three days, Egypt was able to bring 55 trucks carrying relief aid into the Gaza Strip.

On the seventh of this month, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) launched an unprecedented attack on Israel under the name “Al-Aqsa Flood,” which included the firing of thousands of rocket shells and the infiltration of Palestinian fighters into southern Israel.

Israel responded to this by declaring a state of war and launching a large-scale military operation against Hamas in the Gaza Strip under the name “Iron Swords.”

It also imposed a comprehensive closure on the Gaza Strip and cut off all supplies of electricity, fuel, and food to the population.
