The White House fears possible "Iranian interference."

The White House National Security Advisor confirmed, on Sunday, that the United States fears that the conflict between Israel and Hamas will witness an additional “escalation,” also expressing fear of possible “Iranian interference.”

Jake Sullivan said in an interview with CBS: “We cannot rule out the hypothesis that Iran will make a decision to intervene directly in one way or another, and we must prepare for any possibility.”
