The Israeli General Security Service (Shin Bet) claimed, on Wednesday, that it had arrested a cell that planned a series of attacks against Israeli targets, including an attempt to assassinate public figures, at the behest of Iranian authorities.
According to the Shin Bet statement, two of the detainees are residents of the occupied interior, while 3 residents of Jenin were arrested in the West Bank.
The investigation revealed that the cell members were asked to smuggle weapons into Israel and the West Bank, and were also asked to plan the assassination of public figures.
