President Mahmoud Abbas met on Tuesday evening with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in New York, on the sidelines of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
President Abbas briefed his Turkish counterpart on the latest developments in the Palestinian issue. They also discussed bilateral relations and ways to develop them at all levels.
President Abbas thanked President Erdogan for Turkey’s steadfast positions in support of the rights of the Palestinian people, and for his tireless pursuit of their freedom and independence.
