Hamas condemns the campaign of arrests carried out by the Palestinian Authority

On Tuesday, Hamas strongly condemned the campaign of arrests, which it described as "frenzied" by the Palestinian security forces, last night against a number of activists, students and released prisoners in several areas of the West Bank.

In a statement, Hamas accused the authority of continuing to "throw dozens of citizens in its prisons under unacceptable pretexts." As stated in its statement.

And she considered what is happening as "the insistence of the Palestinian Authority on striking the social fabric and threatening civil peace by continuing political detention under flimsy pretexts, and disregarding all calls calling for stopping these arrests that humiliate the sacrifices of our revolutionary people, a policy that only serves the occupation and its escalating aggression." According to the statement.

It called on the security services to completely stop these violations, and to release all political detainees from their prisons, warning of the consequences of continuing this policy of targeting activists, students, and released prisoners, calling on the forces, factions, and human rights institutions to take a clear stance towards these violations, and to work hard to stop them in order to protect the dignity and sacrifices of our people.

The security services or the Ministry of Interior did not comment on these accusations.
