Thousands of settlers gathered, on Thursday evening, near the Damascus Gate area in occupied Jerusalem, marking the start of the provocative flags march.
A group of settlers assaulted young men and press crews in Bab al-Khalil area in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem.
The participants in the march, including extremist minister Itamar Ben Gvir and members of the Knesset, raised the Israeli flag, chanting the slogan "The people of Israel live."
The march was organized amid a great alert from the occupation police to protect the settlers.
The Israeli Minister of Transport, Miri Regev, attended earlier in the Damascus Gate area and carried the Israeli flag, in an attempt to provoke Jerusalemites.
