Pakistan has welcomed Saudi Arabia's efforts to bring peace to conflict-torn Yemen , Pakistan's Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Monday.
"Pakistan welcomes the recent dialogue and diplomatic engagement towards achieving peace in Yemen, with special reference to Saudi Arabia's role and endeavors in strengthening the efforts of the Sultanate of Oman and the United Nations Special Envoy to Yemen," the foreign ministry statement said.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that Saudi Arabia's efforts to reach an amicable solution to the Yemeni crisis come at the right time and would enhance peace, stability and development in the region.
Pakistan also affirmed its principled support for a political solution to the Yemeni crisis through dialogue and consultation, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
