France calls for respect for the historical status quo in the holy places in Jerusalem

France called for "respecting the historical status quo in the holy places in Jerusalem," after the Israeli occupation forces stormed the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and attacked worshipers.

The French Foreign Ministry said in a statement issued today, Thursday, that "France expresses its concern about the acts of violence that took place in the past two nights in the Holy Mosque and inside the Al-Qibli Mosque."

And she added: "France calls for respect for the historical status quo in the holy sites in Jerusalem and to refrain from taking any action that would exacerbate the violence."
