In a statement, Shtayyeh called on the United Nations and the International Red Cross to enter the camp, see the extent of the suffering the refugees endure there, and work to allow them to leave the camp and enter it freely.
He called for an end to settler attacks on olive pickers in villages and towns, in which the season of harvesting the blessed tree began, amid attacks by settlers armed with the protection of the occupation soldiers, who confiscate the crop and prevent farmers from reaching their fields.
Shtayyeh also called for the formation of popular committees in the targeted villages and towns, to protect farmers and confront settler attacks.
