Gaza - "Jerusalem" dot com - "Hamas" movement denounced, on Saturday evening, that an extremist burned a copy of the Holy Quran in front of the Turkish Embassy building in the capital, Stockholm.
Hazem Qassem, Hamas spokesman, said in a press statement that this act is a provocation to the feelings of all Muslims, and a blatant aggression against their faith.
Qassem added: This is extremist behavior that spreads hatred and incites violence and creates a fertile environment for extremism.
A Hamas spokesman called on the international community to assume its responsibilities to stop such reprehensible acts, reject all forms of hatred and extremism, and hold the perpetrators accountable.
He called on Sweden to apologize to Muslims for this crime.
