Gaza - "Jerusalem" dot com - Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said, on Tuesday, that the escalation of incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque confirms the occupation's insistence on igniting a religious war in the entire region.

Qassem added, in a press statement, "The ongoing aggression against Al-Aqsa will be met with more resistance, and the Shuafat operation will not be the last."

And he continued, "The stationed men and women stationed in Al-Aqsa are playing a real heroism in confronting the incursions and thwarting the occupation's plans."
