During his meeting with students from Harvard.. Shtayyeh: Israel is creating facts to destroy the two-state solution

Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh said, during his meeting with about 300 students from Harvard University, today, Tuesday, in Ramallah , that "the continuation of the current deteriorating situation will lead to the end of the two-state solution and a slide towards one state with an apartheid system in reality, legislation, and laws."

He added, "Hearing and reading about Palestine does not replace visiting it and seeing the facts and conditions on the ground."

Shtayyeh continued: "From the facts here you will find that the Gaza Strip is besieged, and Israel has built an apartheid wall and isolates Jerusalem, and the expansion of settlement construction, and daily violations and assaults on our people. Israel is working to create facts that are difficult to undo, all in order to destroy the two-state solution and embody establishment of the Palestinian state.

And he added, "International law is indivisible, and double standards must be stopped when it comes to Palestine, and Israel must not remain a state above the law."

Shtayyeh stressed that the occupation government imposes control over all aspects of life in Palestine, "it controls the crossings, borders, water and electricity, and it prevents us from exercising our right to elections, in addition to that the occupation earns more than 50 billion dollars annually from our occupied lands."
