The head of the occupation government signs a decision to ban Nasser Al-Hidmi from traveling for a month

Jerusalem – By Ahmed Jalajel – The Israeli occupation authorities handed Nasser Issa Jalal Al-Hidmi, head of the Jerusalemite Anti-Judaization Commission, a decision to ban him from leaving the country for a month, by order signed by the occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, on the pretext of “security reasons.” According to the decision issued on June 25, 2026, the ban order is valid until July 24, 2026, with the possibility of extending it for an additional six months, based on emergency regulations, after reviewing any objections Al-Hidmi may submit. The occupation authorities claimed in the decision that Al-Hidmi is a “senior activist in the Hamas movement,” and that there is “fear” that his travel abroad would be exploited to carry out activities that harm Israel’s security, claims that are repeated in administrative decisions targeting Jerusalemite figures. In his comment on the decision, Al-Hidmi affirmed to “Al-Quds” that this measure comes within the occupation’s continuous policy of pursuing national figures and Jerusalemite leaders, and trying to restrict them and prevent them from conveying the truth of what is happening in the city of Jerusalem to the world. Al-Hidmi told our correspondent: “The decision to ban me from traveling will not deter me from performing my national duty towards Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the occupation will not succeed in silencing the voice of Jerusalemites or breaking their will. These arbitrary measures will not change the reality of the occupation, and will not prevent us from continuing to defend the rights of our people by all legitimate means.” Al-Hidmi added that the occupation uses travel bans, deportation, and administrative detention orders as punitive tools against Jerusalemite activists, in an attempt to isolate them from their Arab, Islamic, and international surroundings, stressing that these policies represent a clear violation of freedom of movement guaranteed by international laws and conventions. The decision grants Al-Hidmi 14 days from the date of receipt to submit a written objection through a lawyer to the legal department of the Israeli Population and Immigration Authority. Al-Hidmi is considered one of the most prominent Jerusalemite figures who have been subjected to repeated occupation measures in recent years, including travel bans and expulsion from Al-Aqsa Mosque, in addition to summonses and investigations, as part of a policy targeting activists and national institutions in occupied Jerusalem. It is worth noting that Al-Hidmi is banned from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque until the sixteenth of this month, as he has been banned more than once and the occupation forces automatically renew the ban decisions for him, with the ban period varying from 4-6 months. The occupation intelligence also filed an indictment against Al-Hidmi on charges of “incitement via Facebook and supporting terrorism,” where Al-Hidmi will appear before the Magistrate’s Court in Jerusalem on the eighth of next September, in addition to summonses, investigations, and financial persecution.
