Occupation blows up Fatah office in Nablus and forces Jerusalemite to demolish his home

Israeli occupation forces, on Saturday morning, blew up an office belonging to the Palestinian National Liberation Movement (Fatah) in Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus city, causing widespread destruction to the building and neighboring properties. Sources reported that a military force stormed the camp and planted high-explosive devices inside the office before detonating them remotely, which caused a massive fire and extensive material damage, after forcing families living in the vicinity to evacuate their homes at gunpoint.

In occupied Jerusalem, the occupation authorities continued their policy of forced demolition, as Jerusalemite citizen Samir Aliyan Arar was forced to demolish his home with his own hands in the town of Jabal Al-Mukaber. This step was taken to avoid paying the exorbitant demolition costs for the occupation's machinery, in implementation of a decision issued by the occupation municipality under the pretext of building without a license. Local sources stated that the 80-square-meter house, built in 2018, housed a family of seven who are now homeless, noting that the occupation had previously imposed fines on the family amounting to nearly 100,000 shekels.

Concurrently, the occupation army escalated its incursions into various areas of the West Bank, including towns in the governorates of Ramallah, Jenin, and Bethlehem. Eyewitnesses confirmed that the invading forces carried out searches and provoked residents, without any direct arrests being reported during these raids, which come in the context of the ongoing tightening of restrictions on Palestinians in various governorates.

Occupation forces forced Palestinians living in the vicinity of the targeted office to leave their homes before carrying out the demolition operation.
