"Her first speech.. Rodriguez: The kidnapping of Venezuelan President Maduro carries a "Zionist tint"

In her first official speech following her assumption of the duties of "interim presidency" by assignment from the Supreme Court, Delcy Rodriguez launched a scathing attack on the United States, describing the operation to kidnap President Nicolas Maduro as carrying a "Zionist tint", and announcing the formation of a National Defense Council to confront what she called "imperialist ambitions".

In a televised speech delivered while surrounded by senior army leaders and government members, Rodriguez dropped a bombshell by linking the American attack to "Israel".

Rodriguez said that the military operation carried out by Washington "bears a Zionist tint", hinting at the existence of some influence or intervention by "Israel".

She warned that world governments were shocked by this attack, threatening that "history and justice will make them pay the price".

Rodriguez described the raid, in which more than 150 American soldiers participated, as an "unprecedented military aggression". She affirmed that the true motive behind this operation is not democracy or combating drugs, but "the desire to control Venezuela's huge oil reserves", stressing that her country "will never be a colony for any empire".

In response to the "state of war", Rodriguez announced two decisive steps:

Formation of a National Defense Council.

Full deployment of Venezuelan National Forces to protect the country's sovereignty.

She also reiterated that Nicolas Maduro, who along with his wife Cilia Flores was transferred to New York to face federal charges, remains the "sole president of Venezuela", demanding his immediate release.
