Venezuelan Defense Minister Announces General Mobilization to Confront the 'Greatest Aggression' by the United States on the Country

The Venezuelan Defense Minister, General Vladimir Padrino López, described the military attack launched by the United States against his country as the 'greatest aggression' faced by the Republic in its modern history, while simultaneously declaring a state of general mobilization within the ranks of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces to respond to this direct targeting.

The Minister Padrino López confirmed in an urgent military statement that all army units and security forces have already begun implementing the instructions of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Nicolás Maduro, emphasizing that the primary objective at this stage is to 'confront the imperialist threat' and protect Venezuelan sovereignty through comprehensive field coordination to defend all national territories, and confirming that the Armed Forces will work at full capacity to deter any infringement on the country's security.

In a firm tone reflecting Caracas's categorical rejection of any external pressures or impositions, the Defense Minister stated that 'there is no bargaining on Venezuela's freedom and independence,' and continued by saying: 'We will not negotiate and we will not yield, and we will triumph in the end.'

He explained that the official position of the military leadership is based on protecting national achievements, responding to threats by adhering to the legitimate rights of the nation to determine its destiny away from foreign interventions.

The Minister also indicated that the American attempts primarily aim to instill panic and chaos among citizens to destabilize internal stability, calling on the Venezuelan people to 'not fall into the chaos' that the enemy seeks to impose, and to maintain unity and cohesion to overcome these critical moments.

López emphasized that popular awareness and national unity are the strongest weapon in facing what he described as the 'heinous aggression.'

Padrino López concluded his statements by affirming the combat capability and high morale enjoyed by the Venezuelan forces, noting that the Venezuelan nation will continue to defend its people and resources with an 'unyielding will.'

He said emphatically: 'We will prevail in this struggle, and the nation is the one that will triumph in the end,' in a clear indication of his confidence in the country's ability to repel the attack and preserve the unity of its territories.
