Prisoner institutions stated that the total number of prisoners and detainees in Israeli occupation prisons until the beginning of October 2025 has reached more than 11,100.
The prisoner institutions clarified in a joint statement today, Wednesday, that this number does not include detainees held in camps run by the occupation army.
They added that the number of sentenced prisoners has reached, according to what the occupation prison administration announced until October, more than 1,460.
The number of prisoners sentenced to life imprisonment and those against whom indictments have been filed in preparation for issuing life sentences is about 350, of whom (303) are sentenced, and (40) have had indictments filed against them for issuing life sentences.
Prisoner Abdullah Barghouti holds the highest sentence of 67 life sentences, followed by prisoner Ibrahim Hamid, who is sentenced to 54 life sentences.
It was noted that the number of veteran prisoners is (17), including four prisoners who have been continuously detained since 1986.
The number of prisoners sentenced to between 10 and 20 years is (131), and those sentenced from 21 to 30 years is (166).
It was pointed out that the number of female prisoners is 53, among them three from Gaza, and two children.
The number of child prisoners exceeds 400, detained in the (Ofer and Megiddo) prisons.
The number of detained prisoners - without trial - according to what the occupation prison administration announced until October is about 3,380.
The number of administrative detainees has reached 3,544, which is the highest ratio compared to the number of detained and sentenced prisoners.
Meanwhile, the number of detainees classified as 'unlawful combatants' is 2,673.
It is worth mentioning that this classification also includes Arab detainees from Lebanon and Syria.
The total number of prisoners before the genocide war was more than 5,250, including about 40 female prisoners and 180 children.
This number is the highest since the outbreak of the Al-Aqsa Intifada in 2000.
