The second day of crucial negotiations between the Hamas delegation and mediators concluded this evening in the Egyptian city of Sharm El Sheikh. The movement laid its main demands on the table, the most prominent of which is linking the release of all detainees held by the occupation entity to a complete withdrawal of its forces from the Gaza Strip, obtaining international guarantees to end the war, and the release of prominent Palestinian leaders, headed by Marwan Barghouti and Ahmad Sa'adat.
These developments come as delegations from Qatar, Turkey, and the United States continue to arrive in Sharm El Sheikh to participate in intensive meetings aimed at determining the mechanisms and procedures for implementing the "Trump Plan" to end the conflict.
A leading source in Hamas confirmed that the movement's delegation emphasized several key points during the second day of negotiations: linking the stages, where the delegation demanded that the stages of releasing the detainees held by the occupation be linked to the stages of the complete withdrawal of its forces from the sector.
The delegation also confirmed that the release of the last detainee must coincide with the withdrawal of the last soldier of the occupation, stressing the necessity of receiving binding international guarantees for a definitive cessation of the war and a complete withdrawal.
In this context, Hamas confirmed its readiness to hand over all detainees in its possession, whether alive or deceased, as part of a comprehensive agreement that meets these conditions.
The Egyptian channel "Cairo News" revealed that discussions have begun regarding the lists of Palestinian prisoners intended for release from the occupation's prisons, noting that the lists that Hamas is demanding the release of include prominent leadership names, including: Marwan Barghouti, Ahmad Sa'adat, Hassan Salameh, and Abbas Al-Sayyid.
Diplomatic efforts continue in Sharm El Sheikh, as delegations from Qatar, Turkey, and the United States keep arriving to participate in meetings related to implementing President Donald Trump's plan.
Sources confirmed that Egypt is intensifying its efforts with various parties to reach a clear agreement and determine the necessary mechanisms for implementing the plan.
