A number of Gaza residents expressed their happiness following the announcement by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) regarding its response to the American plan to stop the war on the Gaza Strip.
This morning, dozens of citizens gathered in Khan Younis in the southern part of the Strip to celebrate Hamas's statement, which included its response to President Donald Trump's plan by agreeing to exchange all living and deceased prisoners in its custody, as well as agreeing to form a technocratic government, with the importance of negotiating the details related to that.
A reporter noted that the decrease in the intensity of Israeli bombardment encouraged people to head to the market in the Nuseirat camp in the middle of the Gaza Strip.
In Gaza City, residents expressed hope that recent developments would lead to an end to the war.
The French Press Agency quoted Moamen Jaser in the port area of western Gaza City as saying, "When I received the news of Hamas's response, I went out with the people in joy, cheers, and takbir."
We hope that the war, bombardment, and destruction will end, and the bloodshed will stop. We are tired and deserve joy and life."
Following Hamas's response to the American plan, the intensity of Israeli bombardment decreased after a day that witnessed new massacres resulting in 63 martyrs.
Last night, Hamas issued a statement announcing its agreement to release all prisoners of the occupation, both living and deceased, according to the exchange formula mentioned in President Donald Trump's proposal, in order to stop the war and fully withdraw from the Strip, while providing the field conditions for the exchange process.
The movement confirmed its readiness to immediately enter into negotiations through intermediaries to discuss the details of that.
We hope that the war, bombardment, and destruction will end, and the bloodshed will stop. We are tired and deserve joy and life.
