24 Palestinians were killed today, Sunday, in Israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling on several areas in the Gaza Strip, according to sources in the Strip's hospitals.
A medical source at Al-Awda Hospital reported that 10 Palestinians were killed, and several others were missing under the rubble following Israeli shelling on two houses in the Al-Nuseirat camp in the center of the Strip.
A correspondent reported that artillery shelling and gunfire continued in the Al-Shati camp west of Gaza City.
The Nasser Medical Complex stated that a citizen waiting for aid was killed by the fire of the occupation forces near an aid center north of Rafah in the southern Strip, adding that an infant died due to malnutrition and lack of treatment.
A reporter stated that the Israeli army blew up residential buildings in the Al-Sabra neighborhood south of Gaza City with explosive robots, coinciding with artillery shelling and airstrikes on the tunnel area, the Al-Nasr neighborhood, and the Al-Shati camp in the city.
In the southern Strip, areas in the center of Khan Younis witnessed Israeli air and artillery shelling without reports of casualties.
As part of its ongoing policy of targeting workers in essential sectors, the occupation killed an employee of the Gaza Municipality yesterday, Saturday, while he was delivering water to Palestinians east of Gaza City, according to a statement issued by the municipality today, Sunday.
The municipality clarified that this targeting is a blatant violation of humanitarian norms and international laws, which guarantee protection for workers in civil and service sectors.
