Palestinian shot dead by occupation forces in the northern West Bank

A Palestinian young man was martyred on Wednesday by the bullets of the occupation army near the city of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank, while several Palestinians were arrested in various locations across the West Bank.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health stated in a statement: "The martyrdom of young Ahmad Jihad Barahmeh (24 years old) by the bullets of the occupation in the town of Anza south of Jenin."

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society had previously stated in a statement that its teams in Jenin dealt with a serious gunshot wound to the chest of a young man from the town of Anza south of Jenin.

Earlier on Wednesday, an Israeli army force stormed the town of Anza and began a search and arrest operation against Palestinians and interrogating them.

In this context, the Israeli army carried out a series of incursions into several cities and towns in the West Bank early Wednesday.

Eyewitnesses reported that the army has been conducting a wide military operation in the town of Turmus'ayya north of Ramallah since early Wednesday, carrying out a campaign of arrests and interrogations with residents after searching their homes.

The occupation army stormed the city of Al-Bireh and the towns of Al-Zawiya and Qarawat Bani Hassan in Salfit Governorate, and arrested several Palestinians during the incursions into the towns of Sa'ir, Yatta, and Halhul in Hebron Governorate.

Alongside the genocide in Gaza, the occupation army and settlers in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, have killed at least 1,044 Palestinians and injured about 10,160, in addition to arresting more than 19,000.

With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, resulting in 65,382 dead and 166,985 injured, most of whom are children and women.
