Three citizens, including two women, were injured today, Wednesday, as a result of an assault by settlers who beat them in the town of Yatta and the Masafar Yatta area south of Hebron.

The coordinator of the popular and national committees for resisting the wall and settlement in southern Hebron, Rateb Al-Jbour, stated that the occupation forces assaulted the young man Yusuf Hatem Makhamra and his mother Khawla Makhamra by beating them, after raiding and searching their home in the Al-Baraka neighborhood in Yatta, south of Hebron, which resulted in injuries and bruises. Khawla was taken to the hospital, while the occupation forces arrested her son Hatem.

In the Shaab Al-Batam area in Masafar Yatta, armed settlers assaulted the family of citizen Muhammad Abdul Jabbar, causing injuries and bruises to citizen Shaima Al-Jabareen, who was subsequently taken to the hospital.

Several military checkpoints were also set up at the entrances to Hebron and its towns, villages, and camps, and a number of main and secondary roads were closed with iron gates, concrete blocks, and earth mounds.
