The former Prime Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim, commented on the upcoming meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and leaders of several Arab countries, considering this meeting "very important" as it will provide these leaders the opportunity to present their vision for resolving the Palestinian situation.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Jassim wrote on his page on "X": "In the next two days, a meeting will be held between the U.S. president and the leaders of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, and Jordan. I believe this meeting is very important as it will allow the leaders of those countries to discuss face-to-face with the U.S. president the situation in Gaza and the dangers of its continuation, especially from a humanitarian perspective."
The former Prime Minister of Qatar added: "These five countries, being allies of the United States and having personal friendships with President Trump, must present their views to him frankly and clearly that the continuation of the catastrophic situation in Gaza will harm America's allies and its own interests in the future."
The resolution of the Palestinian issue will not be achieved by starving and displacing the Palestinians, but rather the solution is the peaceful two-state solution that preserves the rights of both parties.
