Brazilian President: There is no justification for the killing and mutilation of more than 50,000 children in Gaza

Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva described what is happening in the Gaza Strip today, Monday, as "genocide," but he also emphasized that "Hamas's actions are unacceptable."

The Brazilian president stressed the heavy human cost of the war, especially among children, saying: "There is no justification for the killing and mutilation of more than 50,000 children in Gaza."

Lula da Silva called for a radical change in the international approach to the conflict, asserting that "the imbalance that has prevented dialogue and achieved peace in the Middle East must be corrected."

The Brazilian president affirmed the basic rights of the Palestinian people, concluding by stating that "the right of Palestinians to self-determination must be guaranteed" as a fundamental condition for any future solution.
