U.S. President Donald Trump considered the wave of international recognition of the State of Palestine to be a "reward for Hamas," in a sharp stance that contrasts with the positions of Washington's European allies.
White House spokesperson Caroline Levitt stated on Monday that this is President Trump's official position regarding the recognition decisions made by several countries, including Britain, Canada, and Australia.
Levitt added that President Trump will address this issue in his anticipated speech before the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday.
The wave of international recognition of the State of Palestine is a reward for Hamas.
