The occupying army continues its open war on the Gaza Strip for the 710th consecutive day, having significantly escalated its aggression on Sunday, launching a violent and concentrated bombing campaign on the city of Gaza, during which 16 buildings were destroyed, including 3 residential towers.
This escalation comes at a time when the occupying army is preparing to embark on a new ground incursion into the heart of the city as part of an operation dubbed "Gideon's Chariots 2."
The policy of destroying residential blocks and high-rise towers, such as the Militia Tower in the Al-Jalaa area, the Unknown Soldier Tower in the Al-Rimal neighborhood, and Haboub Building, aims to force hundreds of thousands of Palestinians clinging to their land into forced displacement towards the south of the strip, in a plan of displacement that Hamas has described as "a terrorist attack and a crime that exceeds Nazism in its brutality."
Medical sources announced that 53 martyrs have fallen in various parts of the strip since dawn on Sunday, while the total toll of the aggression has reached catastrophic figures: total martyrs since October 7: 64,871 martyrs. Total injuries: 164,610 injured.
A large number of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, where rescue teams are unable to reach them.
Alongside the massacres, the systematic starvation crisis imposed by the occupation through the suffocating siege and closure of crossings is worsening. The United Nations has officially declared a famine outbreak in the Gaza Governorate, where half a million people are facing "catastrophic" hunger.
Hospitals recorded two new deaths due to malnutrition, raising the total number of famine victims to 422 people, including 145 children.
The occupation continues to target aid queues, resulting in the martyrdom of 10 new individuals on Sunday, raising the total number of martyrs from targeting aid seekers to 2,494 martyrs and more than 18,135 injured.
UNRWA warned that malnutrition among children has doubled, with 900,000 children in Gaza suffering from hunger, 70,000 of whom have entered the stage of acute malnutrition.
Sunday witnessed a series of horrific airstrikes and massacres across the strip: near Al-Quds Hospital: the occupation forces targeted a residential building just 50 meters from the hospital in the Tal Al-Hawa neighborhood, causing severe damage.
An occupation drone targeted a tent housing displaced persons, resulting in the martyrdom of 6 citizens, including children and women.
12 martyrs fell and 77 others were injured in a series of airstrikes targeting a destroyed building next to a displacement camp.
A citizen was martyred and others were injured in shelling that targeted a vehicle near Al-Shifa Hospital.
4 citizens were martyred and dozens were injured by the occupation's gunfire while waiting for aid in the north of the city.
A citizen was martyred in artillery shelling on the Batan Al-Samin area.
The occupying forces continue their intensive bombing of the neighborhoods of Shuja'iyya, Zaitoun, Al-Daraj, and Al-Nuseirat camp, amid the occupying government's insistence on proceeding with the plan of "complete occupation of the Gaza Strip."
The policy of destroying residential blocks aims to force Palestinians into forced displacement.
