The occupation barriers in the West Bank are traps for university students.

At least ten Israeli military checkpoints surround the city of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank, where heavily armed soldiers are stationed, tasked with obstructing and oppressing Palestinians. Their mood can sometimes escalate to the point of killing at the slightest suspicion or even without it, as their fingers are always on the trigger.

University students are subjected to this abuse more than others during their daily commutes through the checkpoints. Being part of the youth demographic, they are targeted more than others, constantly facing the brutality of Israeli soldiers, enduring strict military procedures that manifest in oppression and humiliation, which may end in their arrest.

In Nablus, where many universities and colleges attract tens of thousands of students from all over the West Bank, the problem of military checkpoints intensifies with the start of the new academic year, becoming a major dilemma that leads to significant suffering and psychological and physical terror for the students.
