The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates is closely monitoring the escalation in the occupation's war against the components of the Palestinian state and the opportunity to realize it on the ground, especially in light of the tangible international consensus on implementing the two-state solution as the feasible realistic solution to resolve the conflict.
The ministry views the unilateral actions of the occupation with great seriousness, foremost among them the installation of more iron gates at the remaining entrances to Palestinian cities, villages, towns, and camps, and the issuance of occupation orders to raze 200 dunams of citizens' land in Tulkarem, under flimsy pretexts and justifications.
It also regards with concern the tightening of the financial and economic stranglehold on the Palestinian National Authority, and the crimes of extermination, starvation, and displacement occurring in the Gaza Strip, along with the open Israeli boasting about plans to separate it from the occupied West Bank, all while more settlement roads are being paved, random outposts are being built, and what has come to be known as pastoral settlement is being intensified, with settlers violating more than 60% of the occupied West Bank.
The ministry once again welcomed the measures taken by many countries, especially European ones, against colonialism, its symbols, its associations, and those behind it, but considers them insufficient and not commensurate with the level and magnitude of the challenges facing the State of Palestine.
In this regard, it called for intensifying international sanctions and the measures imposed by international law to deter the extremist Israeli government and compel it to stop its crimes against our people, and all its unilateral steps that threaten to ignite the conflict arena and the entire region.
