The ongoing aggression of the Israeli occupation against the city of Gaza has led to widespread destruction of infrastructure and residential areas in less than a week, in addition to the devastation that has occurred in the city since the beginning of the genocide war on October 7, 2023.
Data collected shows that the occupation has destroyed 12 residential buildings with more than 7 floors, containing about 500 apartments, resulting in the displacement and homelessness of more than 10,000 citizens.
The occupation also bombed more than 120 buildings with fewer than 7 floors (averaging 3 floors per building), leading to the displacement of over 7,200 citizens.
The occupation has partially damaged more than 500 buildings, which has deprived nearly 30,000 citizens of their homes.
In a related context, the data indicated the destruction of more than 600 tents that were sheltering displaced persons, displacing at least 6,000 additional citizens, as well as the complete destruction of 10 schools and 5 mosques.
The data clarified that more than 50,000 citizens in Gaza, including children, women, and the elderly, have become homeless in less than a week amid an escalating humanitarian catastrophe.
