The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs reported that the number of female prisoners in the occupation's jails is 53, among them minors and mothers.
The Commission indicated today, Thursday, that the detainees are suffering from harsh detention conditions and deprivation of the most basic human rights.
It added that some of the female prisoners were re-arrested after their release in the recent exchange deal. It noted that 42 detainees are from the West Bank, 5 from within the 1948 territories, 4 from Jerusalem, and 2 from the Gaza Strip.
