The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Sunday that the toll of the ongoing Israeli genocide since October 7, 2023, has risen to 64,455 dead and 162,776 injured Palestinians.
This was reported in its daily statistical report on the number of Palestinian casualties due to the continued Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip.
The ministry stated: "87 dead (including 4 who were retrieved from under the rubble) and 409 injuries arrived at hospitals in the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours."
It clarified that "the toll of dead and injuries since the (resumption of genocide on) March 18, 2025, until today, has reached 11,911 dead and 50,735 injuries."
It pointed out that "there are still a number of victims under the rubble and in the streets, where rescue and civil defense teams are unable to reach them until now."
The ministry confirmed that "the toll of the Israeli aggression has risen to 64,455 dead and 162,776 injured since October 7, 2023."
It noted that hospitals in the sector recorded "5 new deaths in the past 24 hours due to famine and malnutrition, raising the total number since October 7, 2023, to 387 deaths, including 138 children."
It mentioned that the toll of victims waiting for aid has risen since May 27 to 2,416 dead and 17,709 injured, after the killing of 31 Palestinians and the injury of 132 others in the past 24 hours.
Apart from the supervision of the United Nations and international relief organizations, Tel Aviv has initiated since May 27 a mechanism for distributing aid through what is known as the "Gaza Humanitarian Relief Foundation," which is supported by Israel and the United States but is rejected internationally.
The Israeli army has targeted those waiting for aid, resulting in thousands of casualties among them.
Since March 2, Israel has closed all crossings leading to Gaza, preventing any food, medical supplies, or humanitarian aid, plunging the sector into famine despite the accumulation of relief trucks at its borders.
Israel sometimes allows a very limited amount of aid to enter, which does not meet the minimum needs of the starving and does not end the famine, especially as most trucks are subject to looting by gangs that the Gaza government claims are protected by Israel.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with American support, has been committing genocide in Gaza that includes killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to stop.
In addition to the dead and injured, most of whom are children and women, the genocide has left more than 9,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons.
The toll of the Israeli aggression has risen to 64,455 dead and 162,776 injured since October 7, 2023.
