The Israeli army relies on a devastating method in the Gaza Strip, which involves the use of "explosive robots" that carry tons of explosive materials pushed into residential neighborhoods before being detonated remotely, resulting in the leveling of buildings and the displacement of residents.
These robots are old military vehicles rigged by the army with explosives, and this tactic first appeared in May 2024 during the incursion into the city of Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip, then it was used in Rafah to the south, and it is now being applied intensively in the heart of Gaza City.
According to the government media office in Gaza, the Israeli army has launched a "criminal" ground operation since August 13, during which more than 100 explosive robots were detonated, forcing thousands of citizens to evacuate, resulting in the deaths of 1,100 Palestinians and the injury of 6,008 others.
The explosive robots have not diminished the resistance's ability to plant explosives or carry out its operations.
