Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced today, Saturday, that the death toll has risen to 62,622 dead since the start of the occupying aggression on October 7, 2023. Reports indicate that most of the dead are children and women, reflecting the scale of the humanitarian disaster faced by the region.
The sources also reported that the number of injured has increased to 157,673, while rescue and civil defense teams continue to face significant difficulties in reaching many victims still trapped under the rubble.
In the past 24 hours, 61 dead and 308 injured individuals have been recorded as arriving at hospitals in the Gaza Strip, adding new burdens to a healthcare system already damaged by the ongoing aggression.
Since March 18, following the occupation's breach of the ceasefire agreement, the death toll has risen to 10,778 dead and 45,632 injured, indicating an escalation in the intensity of the aggression and assaults.
Hospitals in the region have also recorded 8 deaths in the past 24 hours due to famine and malnutrition, raising the total number of deaths from these causes to 281, including 114 children, reflecting the tragic situation endured by the population.
The suffering of the residents of the Gaza Strip continues amid the siege and aggression, as humanitarian conditions deteriorate rapidly, necessitating urgent intervention from the international community to end this tragedy.
