"South Sudan" denies plans to "settle" Palestinians from Gaza in its territory.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Sudan denied on Wednesday the allegations that the Juba government was in discussions with the occupying state regarding the resettlement of Palestinian citizens from Gaza in its territory. The ministry confirmed in a statement published on its Facebook platform that it categorically denies these media reports.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified that these allegations do not reflect the official position or policy of the government and urged all media outlets to exercise caution and verify information through official channels before publishing it.

The reports published by the Associated Press relied on six sources described as knowledgeable and indicated that the occupying state is discussing with South Sudan the possibility of relocating Palestinians from Gaza to its territory.

Following these reports, Hebrew media mentioned that Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister, Sharren Haskel, will begin a visit to South Sudan, where she will attend the first official visit of a government representative to this country.

The i24 Hebrew channel reported that Haskel's visit comes in the context of reports about Israeli communications with South Sudan regarding the transfer of Palestinians from Gaza to its territory.

The Jerusalem Post stated that an Israeli delegation plans to visit South Sudan to discuss the possibility of establishing camps in preparation for the relocation of Palestinians from Gaza.

Since October 7, 2023, the occupying state has been committing genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to stop these actions.

The Israeli genocide has resulted in more than 61,000 martyrs and 154,000 injured, most of whom are children and women, in addition to more than 9,000 missing and hundreds of thousands displaced.

The blockade imposed on Gaza has continued for 18 years, leading to the destruction of homes for about 1.5 million Palestinians, leaving them homeless.

The occupying state clings to former U.S. President Donald Trump's plan for the forced displacement of Gaza Palestinians, which faces widespread Palestinian, Arab, Islamic, and international rejection.

Historically, the occupying state has occupied Palestine and lands in Syria and Lebanon, refusing to withdraw from them or establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
