Official in Tel Aviv: Likelihood of reaching a partial deal soon regarding Gaza

In a new development regarding efforts to end the aggression on the Gaza Strip, sources within the Israeli occupation revealed the possibility of reaching a partial deal soon between the Israeli occupation entity and Hamas, amid intense American, Qatari, and Egyptian pressure to resume negotiations and ceasefire.

An official in Tel Aviv informed Channel 12 on Saturday evening that there is a real opportunity to reach a partial deal regarding the Gaza Strip in the near future. The Hebrew broadcasting authority "Kan 11" indicated that the United States, Qatar, and Egypt are exerting intense pressure on both parties to return to the negotiating table.

Mediators are trying to resume negotiations before the implementation of the occupation's plan, which was approved by the Israeli cabinet (the security cabinet) during its meeting on Thursday night - Friday. Sources familiar with the negotiations indicate the possibility of pushing a deal that could prevent the complete occupation of the city of Gaza.

Tel Aviv has clarified to Washington the possibility of temporarily halting the military operation to allow for the conclusion of the deal, even if it has already begun. The official in Tel Aviv confirmed that "the door is still open for the possibility of reaching an agreement, despite the opposition within the cabinet."

The current efforts are focused on advancing the proposal of U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff, with indications that Hamas may return to the negotiating table. The humanitarian aid flowing into Gaza is reducing the starvation campaign, which may push Hamas to negotiate.

In a related context, U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff met with Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani to discuss the proposal for the release of Israeli prisoners all at once.

On the other hand, the American site "Axios" reported that the Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer said during the cabinet session that the Trump administration will present an offer to end the war in the coming weeks. However, an official in Tel Aviv involved in the negotiations pointed out that there is a significant gap between the occupation and Hamas regarding the terms for ending the war.
