Mohammad Shahada was not just a news reporter; he was the voice of the field and the image of reality.
A Lebanese journalist was martyred on Friday by an airstrike carried out by an occupation drone on his car in the Nabatieh district of southern Lebanon, marking a new violation of the ceasefire agreement that has been in place since late 2024.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced in a statement that the Israeli airstrike on the road to the town of Zahrani resulted in one martyr, whose body was retrieved from the targeted vehicle on the Sidon – Tyre road.
The National News Agency reported that hostile drones continue to fly at low altitude in the targeted area, increasing tension and anxiety among the residents.
The martyred journalist is Mohammad Shahada, the director of the 'Hawana Lebanon' website, whose colleagues mourned him, affirming that he was the voice of the field facing danger to convey the free word from the heart of the event.
Earlier, the agency reported the martyrdom of 8 people, including a Syrian, and the injury of 12 others due to three Israeli airstrikes targeting areas in eastern and southern Lebanon, marking the highest toll in three weeks.
Since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Lebanon on October 8, 2023, which escalated into a wide war on September 23, 2024, more than 4,000 martyrs and nearly 17,000 injured have fallen.
Despite the ceasefire agreement between Hezbollah and the occupying state being in effect since November 27, 2024, Tel Aviv has violated it more than 3,000 times, resulting in 280 martyrs and 586 injured according to official data.
In a clear challenge to the ceasefire agreement, the occupying army executed a partial withdrawal from southern Lebanon, while still occupying five hills it seized during the last war.
