The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has asked its ambassadors in all countries, the United Nations, its headquarters, and various organizations to take immediate action with foreign ministries, decision-making centers, and the public to explain and expose the Israeli Knesset's call to apply so-called "sovereignty" over the occupied West Bank and the repercussions of its annexation on the opportunity to implement the two-state solution and the security and stability of the region and the world.
The ministry clarified, in a statement on Thursday, that it has asked its ambassadors, headquarters, and organizations to urge and demand from countries the importance of immediately recognizing the State of Palestine, enabling it to gain full membership in the United Nations, and imposing peace on the occupying state, in accordance with international law, international legitimacy resolutions, and the advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice.
The ministry considered this call a declaration of a new war against the Palestinian people and another manifestation of the crimes of genocide, displacement, and annexation aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause and undermining international consensus on the strategic imperatives of establishing a Palestinian state on the ground, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The Ministry also considered this call to be a racist colonialist par excellence, an official Israeli recognition of the goals of the crimes of genocide and the consolidation of the separation between the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. It is further proof of the futility of continuing to direct international appeals and demands to the occupying state and the superficiality of betting on the opportunity for it to retreat from its expansionist colonial plans, unless the international consensus on implementing the principle of the two-state solution is linked to international sanctions and deterrent measures that force the Israeli government to stop all forms of its crimes against our people and recognize their just and legitimate national rights.
