Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yisrael Katz instructed the military on Thursday morning to prepare a new plan within 48 hours to prevent Hamas from seizing control of humanitarian aid.
"We have received new intelligence that Hamas is controlling aid in northern Gaza," Netanyahu and Katz said in a joint statement.
Aid trucks entered yesterday afternoon through the Zikim crossing, secured by the clans in the Gaza Strip.
In the same context, the Higher Committee for Tribal Affairs in the Gaza Strip responded to the occupation's allegations, stating, "We confirm that all aid is fully secured and under our care, and is distributed exclusively through international organizations."
The Commission noted that the occupation aims, by publishing these allegations, to distort the truth and spread chaos in the Gaza Strip.
She called on the UN Security Council to send an immediate and urgent delegation to inspect the aid distribution process on the ground and verify its smooth and transparent operation.
