Al-Aqsa Hospital spokesman: We warn that the lives of 50,000 pregnant and breastfeeding women are at risk.

Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital spokesman Khalil Al-Daqran said that the occupation is continuing its policy of targeting the health system, which is on the brink of collapse after more than 23 hospitals were put out of service and the rest were operating partially due to shortages of medicines, medical supplies, and fuel.

Al-Daqran added in an interview with Voice of Palestine that the occupation prevents more than 12,000 cancer patients from receiving treatment, leading to the death of five of them daily, in addition to the deaths of a large number of kidney dialysis patients due to the lack of necessary treatment and the reduction of dialysis sessions due to scarce resources.

He warned that the lives of 50,000 pregnant and breastfeeding women are at risk due to the lack of adequate food and medicine, and that the number of miscarriages has increased sixfold compared to before the war, in addition to the number of premature births, while hospitals are suffering from overcrowded incubators.
