The Hebrew newspaper Haaretz, citing an informed Hebrew source, revealed that US envoy Steve Witkoff failed to convince Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to show flexibility in the ongoing negotiations regarding the Gaza Strip.
The newspaper noted that Witkov had conducted intensive and repeated phone calls with Netanyahu over the past 24 hours in an attempt to advance the negotiations, without achieving any actual breakthrough.
According to the source, Netanyahu is adhering to the proposal presented by Witkoff two and a half months ago, which includes a temporary ceasefire lasting 45 days.
